I used to have a pretty sharp memory. Then, I went to work for Microsoft PSS. The amount of documentation I did for the mountain of cases I worked on slowly chipped away at my need to remember anything... after all, it was all written down. Further adding to the problem was that my searching skills were being honed to surgical precision while looking for solution after solution.
If you stop running, your legs get weak. If you stop needing to remember things, that
part of your brain apparently goes senile about 60 years early.
What's my point? When I pushed up the database changes for the comments, I killed
my previous blog entries. I even blogged about
it. At lunchtime today, it occurred to me that I had backed up my DB to my laptop,
just in case I screwed something up. Well, I screwed something up. I inserted the
old stuff back in, and we're good as new.
Well, good as it was, anyway. :)
