The old blog had been running on some flavor of dasBlog 1.5 for the longest time, and had pretty much gotten rusty and gray after over a year of total neglect (I even forgot to renew the domain with my host - thankfully they're a little slow to notice such things). So, I decided to upgrade it to the latest and greatest, dasBlog 1.8. All went well, the upgrader stripped away most of the comment and referral spam, and my old custom skin mostly works, so I was happy.
Happy enough to dump it entirely and come over here with Community Server 2.0. I am still crossposting back there, so any old subscribers still holding on don't miss a beat, but *ahem*
it sure would be nice if people moved their aggregators over here.
Only one complaint with CS so far... there's just too many places were a setting can be turned on/off or overridden. It took me half a day to find the third place where comments could be turned on and off, and an hour or two to get cross-posting working, but - what's done is done.
So, I'm about a week behind on my feeds, once I catch up on that, maybe I can get back to coding and find something useful to blog about.
